I do not think so that "consciously" helping would be beneficial , I do what i can but other than that its not that important.
It is just a barrier against off world things , or people who try to curse or do magic shit on us.
Every one of us is connected to their spirit unless the people are NPC-s or got corrupted so we all do our fair share subconsciously , unless you want to get more sensitive and be aware that maybe your mood drops and depressions are not solely based on your physical being and have weird "dreams" then I suggest just do what you can :)
