Still new - but apparently the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) submitted filings to the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) to arrange for 30,000 more satelites on behalf of Starlink.
The FCC released warnings a few days ago reminding providers that they must comply with the Emergency Broadcast System. Is this wishful thinking?
Starlink is only (at least announced) to be sort of operational in the far northern USA and Canada. Several hundred satellites in low earth orbit in a beta test format right now.
I'm a country dweller and am patiently waiting for an opportunity to get real high speed internet.
Current beta locations: http://archive.today/Cpj9D
Also stated locations would need to be "...in the northern US or Canada between 45 and 53 degrees latitude."
Thank you for that. I'm close but no cigar.
