Hahaha. What about the cat?

We just had a kitten show up at our door before an ice storm a few days ago, couldn't find the owner. We named her Qwin. Not a joke. Craziest thing was that the night before she showed up I had a thought about going to look for a kitten for my boys and to hang with me in my office...I was a bit freaked when my wife said there was one at the door the next day.......

Can't help you there, If you're looking for a kid, though, I believe Hillary is having a 2-for-1 clearance sale at the moment. Everything must go...

I hope that is just a general warning, America cannot afford to be without power for an extended period of time. Elderly people would die, hospitals would be useless, etc.

27
stoic_troll 27 points ago +27 / -0

Yeah I think they may do targeted blackouts in specific locations, but not nationwide. That would be pandemonium.

1
Whirlybot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why the blackouts at all? What's the purpose?

16
SkiSkiUSMC 16 points ago +17 / -1

That's what the mobile power stations and emergency generators are put in place for.

17 items under the desk ?

4
Watcher_28 4 points ago +4 / -0

Holy shit!!! That is great!

3
BrotherAmerica 3 points ago +4 / -1

Three water jugs Two orange things Two small blue things Two small orange things The brown bag

Ten under the desk? If you count items on the desk also, it's 18 if you count the four batteries individually. Point out if I'm missing something.

JustinSonOfFidel 7 points ago +7 / -0

3 jugs 4 jars 4 green tins 5 red tins 1 brown bag 17 my bro

1
BrotherAmerica 1 point ago +2 / -1

I see now, nice. Thank you!

5
Shirou-AoV 5 points ago +5 / -0

Red and Green things are cans, need to look closer to count properly.

3 Water + 4 Large Red Cans + 4 Smaller Teal Cans + 5 Smaller Red Cans + Pet Food = 17

Storms= power outage. The storm is upon us. Look at the window, it's storming. I

inquimous 4 points ago +4 / -0

In the PNW an ice storm can easily cut power for weeks, also movement across the coastal range.

In the past they always gave the warning because of a hurricane. But right now, they didn't give a reason.

5
anonymooser 5 points ago +5 / -0

They retweeted this tweet. Looks like some outages hitting Northwest Montana already - https://www.kpax.com/news/local-news/flathead-county/power-outages-hitting-northwest-montana

All of their previous and current warning since Jan 1, 2016. Advanced searching gives me this: https://twitter.com/search?q=(outage%20OR%20power%20OR%20blackout)%20(from%3AReadygov)%20until%3A2021-01-14%20since%3A2016-01-01&src=typed_query

The only thing that gets me doubting that FEMA is behind 45 is that Gaynor put out a statement about allowing for a smooth transition to Biden. I think he leads FEMA if I’m not mistaken

I dont need to worry about refridgerated meat...i keep my emergency rations in dog form.

-3
Krontes -3 points ago +2 / -5

Nothing to do with them just informing casually about it when some countries had outages nope, it is obviously a plan.

6
Gesirisi 6 points ago +6 / -0

Why did other countries have blackouts? Is it normal for the entire country of Pakistan to lose power..?

-1
Krontes -1 points ago +1 / -2

It happened before.

EnemiesDestroyed 1 point ago +2 / -1

What was their response before?
