That’s because of the lifting of the prohibitions to the Smith-Mundt Act 1948 which was updated by Hussein in 2012 with the Smith-Mundt Modernisation Amendment that was hidden in the 2012 National Defence Authorisation Act...
Which basically lifted the prohibition on the use of domestic propaganda and allowed all media to publish propaganda that would normally have been only allowed overseas...
There’s more to it than that and I recommend that people do some research.... because that Act was the catalyst to the way the media and reporters now report stories and articles.... just as we have seen in the last 4 years..!!
