Speaking of discrediting, notice the big propaganda items at the end of the article there --

white supremacist recruiters "raid" QAnon groups with the explicit goal of recruiting disillusioned and hopeless

seeing a lot of neo-Nazis preying on the potentially disenchanted Q people
