Very first miracle seen by servants. He didn't tell anyone to not say anything. So...right from the first. He did tell the leper not to say anything, and one other. But the thousands of others he gave them no such instruction. I'm supposing that the leper was told this because Jesus would have to leave if word got out (mobs).
Mark 5:9 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
...And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
