I didn’t realize how weird it all is that we’re wearing masks in public.
For the first time in almost a year I went in publish and held my head up high wearing no mask.
We got many stares and glances.
In the end we were ratted out by another customer who pointed at us and said “They should be wearing masks!” An employee asked us to put our masks on and we complied (we were in line checking out).
We all need to start doing this. Civil disobedience.
....and, you complied. At the finish line of all places...
I was at a CVS recently. Asked the pharmacist where an item could be found, she looked up at me in shock (I knew what the look was, seen it before) so I rail-roaded my question to her. She answered and then asked me where my mask was. I promptly ignored it and asked another question, got my answer, thank you and walked back into the store.
The Manager found me minutes later, asked if I need a mask. (No thanks). You shpuld be wearing a mask (that’s okay).
He stepped it up. Sir you need a mask on, I dont want any conflict with you or other guests. ( then I SUGGEST you drop it and you wont have any!) He dropped it and after that moment was a very great help finding my items. I politely thanked him after check out and left.
You need tp hold the line. They really cant do a damn thing and it’s even better when they have self check-out. Kek. They can’t leverage you.
lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this reaction to OP's story
Like wtf?!?!?!
And he comes here for a pat on the back. Sounds like a wimp tbh.
No. He was trying to share what for him was a big first step. We all reach these points of courage at different times and in different ways. And depending on where you live, repercussions vary greatly. It was a great start.
Well maybe he shouldn't be a wimp next time because times are going to get a lot tougher than wearing face diapers
Kek, I know. The Op is atleast taking a step in the right direction.
A step in the right direction would be depriving that store of his hard earned money, enough customers start doing that and the "rat" customers cries will soon start to fall on deaf ears as more and more of us abandon the tyranny lovers.
Exactly.
