Occam's razor theory: Trump told the hotel to raise the prices in order to troll the deep state actors. He knew it would be noticed. (Former?) President Trump, the greatest date-fagger ever!

Shouldn't it be the other way around? T supporters get free T hotel. Or maybe T is doing what he has always been good at: marketing with hype to get rich himself.
