Congress is power drunk (Nancy is just for real drunk bc she's just a drunk) but drunks do stupid things. Like deciding to vote on whether or not something is constitutional. SCOTUS decides on constitutionality. Not the power drunk congress.
You're right -- the formula of passing a law and then voting on whether or not it's constitutional is schizophrenic at best and doesn't make anything constitutional.
This is what happens when 532 fuckwits get together and shit out an idea.
but the precedent congress made needs to be overturned yesterday
No, it does not need to be overturned. As one of Trump's lawyers said, this trial opens the floodgates to impeaching other former presidents as well. Now they set the precedent to impeach Bush, Obummer, Clinton, etc. for their past crimes against humanity. The entire cabal can now be tried and impeached if they work in government.
At this point it's symbolic no matter what they say it is. They are bound by the Supreme Court so if our justices are playing a role and decide to refute Congress on any power grab, Congress would have to publicly reject an entire branch of the government. Even in today's atmosphere a huge escalation and invitation for military action.
The Eighteenth Amendment (Amendment XVIII) of the United States Constitution established the prohibition of alcohol in the United States. The amendment was proposed by Congress on December 18, 1917, and was ratified by the requisite number of states on January 16, 1919.
The Eighteenth Amendment was repealed by the Twenty-first Amendment on December 5, 1933. It is the only amendment to be repealed.
No. It's congresses duty to assess the constitutionality of every action and law that it takes before it takes them. Their assessment can deviate from the assessment of the supreme court. Interpretation of the constitution is the duty of all, not just the supreme court. The courts are not our kings.
The Bill of Rights has been violated for even longer. Ultimately, laws are abstractions that don't bear directly on physical reality unless abstractions like honor and virtue compel people to acknowledge them.
We've turned arts and humanities into forms of entertainment. We replace virtue with endless pleasure. As humanity grows more carnal I'd wager this disregard for laws increases.

Negative imo.
we aint at the precipice yet - when they actively come for 2A, is when we find the will to change. Military will step in
Keep the constitution and get rid of the people not abiding by it.

We are at that “rip it to shreds” state with these guys right now. They don’t GAF.
take the cue from Hilldog...she said the constitution was out dated and needed revision
Have you read the 18th Amendment?

Let this sink in a moment.
So, we have in quick succession since 1913
You see a pattern?
CONGRESS DISSOLVED THE UNION AND XIDEN DISSOLVED THE CONGRESS. WITH SIGNING OF ALL THOSE EOs HE PROVES CONGRESS IS NOW UNNECESSARY

From an attorney’s perspective, I’ll just say it’s an interesting idea but holds absolutely no water.
Which will all go to shit if the Dems pack the SCOTUS
