Damn man that's tough. Hopefully the weather breaks soon and you guys can get some crews out restoring services. Having shallow runs must be an insane problem right now. They gotta get that main back up but with the frozen lines could cause a ton of issues. Sorry we can't offer any help. Hang in there man, stay warm.
We do have power here. I am well prepared but feel bad for my neighbors. I have gone to each of their houses to check on them and told them to let me know if they need anything. This neighborhood attracts a lot of retirees, and emergency services are not very close. I can't do much, but I don't want to see anyone suffering if I can help.
Good on you for helping and checking in on the older folks. I know it would mean a lot to me if it was my grandparents. Any updates on the situation today?
Situation is basically still the same... we have power, but no water. Everybody's fine around me here, nothing too serious thankfully. I delivered a case of water bottles and some canned goods to some folks who couldn't get to the store because their car wouldn't start. I feel terrible for anyone without power though, that's the real killer. It was a little warmer today and we had some thawing, but that might all turn to ice overnight in addition to a good chance for more precipitation. It looks like temps will stay above freezing starting Saturday, so there's some relief in sight.
Here's hoping you guys get some warmer weather soon. Way to keep an eye on the others in your community. They really need to get water the fixed. I hope it doesn't open a can of worms in your house once they pressurize. Stay positive big guy. Good luck man.

Hey big guy hope all is well. Have you guys gotten your water back yet? If not, is there an ETA as to when it might be restored?
