As a russian speaking pede, the translation is correct and verifiable. If this man represents the average caliber of people in Russia's military, then the Russian military is much closer ideologically to the lay people of America than anyone can reasonably comprehend. There is an understanding of how authorities abuse authority and an inherent distrust of authority, especially foreign authority.

I'm former military and have studied warfare. This man is a warrior. He expresses the ideology of a warrior. His analysis is exactly what I would expect of any gifted military officer trained in warfare, blunt, logical, and deep.
