I’m on the fence with all of this, but I assume that any civilization that can traverse the galaxy would have access to unlimited natural resources and not need the earth for any element or material. The value of the earth to them would probably be the genetic diversity and the fact that it’s a habitable system. If you believe in spiritual energy then that would be another thing they would target.
Any element heavier than Hydrogen is created either in the core of a star, or after it goes supernova. Natural resources should be spread throughout a system and not just located on any habitable planet. If they wanted natural resources it would be much easier to go to a dead planet, rather than any inhabited one.
