One datefagging word of caution here:

If you're going by the 40 days of Lent...

"Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday."

Therefore, it would be longer than 40 calendar days, as Sundays don't figure into the equation.

OR

It could mean a literal 40 calendar days.

Who knows?
