I don't see anywhere in there saying he's leaving the SPECIAL COUNSEL position, only the CT U.S. Attorney position. If somebody can find actual sauce to the contrary, please share (but I hope there is none).

This is how I understand it too. Nothing about stepping down as special council.
The incoming Attorney General will determine if he will keep Durham on as Special Counsel. That seems to be unlikely as reported by Gateway Pundit. I just hope his work is done and that's why he's stepping down now. From what I remember reading about it, Durham has strong religious convictions. I don't think he's the type to give up on righteousness.
