Dude. Our hands were tied so bad in Iraq and Afghanistan. We could have seriously brought the pain.
But we have to make war nicely, apparently.
For example: We would kick some serious ass doing night time raids in Afghanistan. They were very effective. Buuuut Hamid Karzai, the Afghanistan president said it wasn’t nice. Because those people were sleeping.
So we had to run even more risk to our guys and be less effective at our jobs.
We went to Jordan and trained the Jordanians in infantry tactics. A bunch of those guys broke off and started ISIS... The foundation of ISIS was inadvertently created by the DoD.
Battle of Turki Village. Look it up, there's a Wikipedia about it. Look at the belligerents, force size, and the length of the fight.
We had that town cut off and we're working our way in. We were about to destroy ISIS in its infancy. Then General Petraeus himself land and calls us off that objective. I firmly believe, as do others from TF300, that we were about to kill someones favorite international chess piece and they pulls us out so that didn't happen.
I have been thinking that many of the so called enemies of the US were initially motivated by hatred of things done by our [DS]. From the outside, the US looks just like our [DS]. Islamic extremism seems to be a deliberate creation of the cabal. Same game as always, the cabal creates both sides of the conflict. Look at the 100 years war, WWI, WWII, etc.
The US could have flattened North Vietnam if they wanted in days but they were held back by the White House. That was not a war about us winning it was about a military industrial complex making money same as with the Taliban which WE created.

The Taliban story is interesting. I heard they weren't actually the bad guys but wanted to keep the clowns out and got slandered
So heres a tidbit many do not know...

From the Army's perspective I sure as hell hope so, but from higher up I am afraid you could be correct.

Some of us remember this very well. I think that was were many started calling the General, Gen. Betrayus.
