The manager at Mission BBQ made me put on a mask.
? DEM PANIC ?
They had no problem accepting my cash payment, and I'm allowed to take my mask off when I eat.
But if I walk in not wearing a mask. I get yelled at.
They just lost another customer.
What ticks me off is that Mission BBQ's whole schtick is it's American imagery. They really try to pander to conservatives.
I just can't wrap my head around the disconnect here. I've experienced it too. You're literally standing five feet from people eating without masks on and yet, you're supposed to keep your mask on. It's just baffling. I would have never believed that people were this stupid, but here we are.
The biggest thing that I've learned from the pandemic -- average citizens will happily sell your ass down the river in the name of virtue.
They're literally working for a corrupt agenda for free.
Think about that for a moment. No money, all feels. ?♂️
Cheater smokers has made it easy to poop out shitty bbq. Digital temp read out, gas fire pellets, smoke level monitors, timers, temp fall off control, etc, any delta alpha can do "bbq" now. Set it and forget it. Now of that 12 hours of monitoring. The shitty bbq pisses me off when I eat it.
Give them a reversed flow offset smoker with a pile of wood and they couldn't even figure out how to lite the fire.
Forget about how to get a good smoke ring, what a draw is, how to handle stall, when to use a water pan, when to wrap, or how to convert fats to sugars without boiling the meat.
Yes, I BBQ. Doing a beef brisket tomorrow.
What time are we eating? I’ll bring some tater salad.
Ready at 6.
I known what you mean. There's a very "fake country" look that some of the white collar city kids are into.
To me, this lacks the character of the real country folk that I like.
If you have a disability that prevents you from wearing a mask I would think this is discrimination. I'll bet they have handicap parking spaces and wheel chair ramps. If they have those then they should remove them so they are fair in their discrimination.
I think the whole "mask when you enter the restaurant, but not while you're eating" rule is stupid.
Like while Im eating and exhaling air, those around me breathe it in, along with everyone else who is working there.
But thats to say that the mask works to begin with. If you don't have a mask that filters 0.1 micron sized particles (which most dont), you still inhale the virus.
I think this missing piece of info is what drives me nuts about the mask narrative in general.
Taking your business elsewhere - permanently, even after this COVID BS is dropped - is the most effective way we as Patriots can participate in this Great Awakening. After redpilling others, that is.
I agree. We vote with our money.
I don't know why people are encouraging this shit by going to restaurants to begin with. IF an establishment makes you wear a mask then don't go in.
I order my groceries through Walmart, go pick them up and never go in.
Does Walmart suck? Yes. But then I don't spend more money than I intend and I don't spend money in places that enforces masks. At least Walmart gives me an alternative.
Dude, you’re still giving them business. You’re still buying products if you go in or not. If any place makes you wear a mask, don’t shop there. Not in person, not online! “Going in” or not makes no difference to the bottom line. Shopping elsewhere does!
Where am I going to get groceries though? Every store makes you wear a mask but at least Walmart allows you to pre-order your groceries. No one else does.
I hate it, but it's the "lesser of two evils" as they say.
Hanniford does on the east coast
I've been to numerous places around town without a mask, and I've been to this restaurant without a mask before.
Mission BBQ is a restaurant that panders to conservatives with its American imagery. So you'd think that it wouldn't be so strict.
The right soyboy manager makes all the difference.
They treat their staff like garbage, which is why they are highly demotivated.
I can't find a good Wal-Mart unless I go down South.
I think you're right and I totally agree. BUT this is one of the evil Catch 22's they have us in -- wear a mask like a brainwashed slave in order to shop for groceries OR don't come in.
For me Walmart is the only way t get groceries without having to go in, but I hear ya -- I HATE having to shop with them.
I'm not a fan anyway. I went to lunch when one opened by my base and walked in while in uniform and asked if there was a discount (seemed obvious when the place looked like a USO) they said no, only one day a week and it wasn't that day. I don't really care about the "discount" but for the amount they mooch off of the military theme, it pisses me off.
Absolutely. I'm with you there.
Sounds like they want the military to show up on the same day for the optics.
Fun Roof BBQ IN Texas let's you walk right in. Masks are optional.
Most of the employees don't wear one and few customers do.
So mission bbq is communist business. Can't trust anyone. I hate this.
So you walked in wearing a mask and got yelled at? What more did they want from you?
Nah, i wasn't wearing a mask when I walked in.
This virus is small. Its 0.1 microns. Wearing a normal mask or a shirt over our faces don't stop us from breathing it in.
You can even take a regular mask and put your hand in front of it and blow air. You can feel the amount of air including the heat from your breath.
I thought a conservative leaning place like Mission BBQ wouldn't be so strict about our states limp mask rules, heck, I walked in there maskless before.
However, the manager yelled at me as soon as I walked in. Just another phony Paytriot place that I will not visit. That's all.
Lol - my adult, professional nephew purposefully demonstrated the uselessness of masks on Christmas Eve at their church candlelight service, by blowing out all the candles around him THROUGH HIS MASK. Sometimes you have to demonstrate the truth.
Dude, your nephew rocks! ?
To be fair and I hate wearing a damn mask they don’t want to deal with the drama and Karen’s reporting them
Yes, that means they are cowards. They could stand with liberty, or bow to authoritarianism - and they have chosen the latter. To say that the authoritarianism promises to be annoying is no valid excuse for capitulating to it. In this choice, they were asked: do you want communist business or American business? They answered 'communist'. So be it.
Address? Where is this place.
