Personallyy I've never seen the curvature while in an airplane. Summer solstice in northern hemisphere lasts longer then summer solstice in southern hemisphere at same latitude.. flying "across the globe" you're just flying east/west relative to which direction the compass points north. There is no north to south circumnavigation around the globe.
