I've had the pleasure (misfortune?) of working with psychiatrists and other psychiatric staff... most of them are absolutely fucking crazy and need help more than their patients.
Zero, my story with the VA during Covid. The VA counselor cried on the phone and hung up on me. I'll never give another one of them mental midgets my time. It was a devastating experience for me and this weak woman caved on me and I got zero help. Then the VA put my name before one of their stupid boards that cover up their ineptitude.

True. They come in three categories:
1/ They are after power over helpless people 2/ They want to feel adequate. 3/ They are only interested in the upkeep and maintenance of their status
I went to the shrink, I said "Shrink--nobody pays attention to me." He said, "NEXT!"
Amen... you nailed it.
Frankly I’d almost be curious as to the numbers of people modern psychiatric medicine has actually helped.
Because it increasingly seems like the people who need the psychiatric help are the ones supposed to be giving it.
