The dam on the current satellite view on Google is similar to the 7/8/2020 picture, but don't know when it was taken (very green--so the current satellite is probably from the summer rather than current). If you zoom out, in a mixed satellite/drawing view, you can see that many roads upstream of the dam are underwater/no longer exist (perhaps present and planned when the dam was built). There are also vehicles on the dam--which appear to be trying to fix it.
GE is known for not having accurate dates on their satellite & street view images. That's not new.
However, if you look on GE yourself and toggle the Historical Imagery tab, you'll see that the default image shows the dam all jacked up from July 2020, but the first historical image says December 2020 with the dam in great shape.
Either way, Google AND China's CCP are demons from hell.
