This doesn’t seem like an intelligent move. Revamping a service branch to so it’s specifically suited for 1 theater of operations. And only 1 theater. As opposed to the Multiple the Marines are currently capable of effectively operating in. Undertaking a mission that really doesn’t need to be undertaken. This isn’t the 1940s where we need to go Island hopping through the pacific.
We can shove precision heavy ordinance down a chimney from half a world away. The Pentagon has blown enough cash on black projects and off the books work to pay off the majority of the U.S debt.
And we’re supposed to believe that we don’t have something sitting in a testing ground that would render assaulting fortified concrete blocks that the Chicoms stuck in the middle of the ocean unnecessary?
Maybe this is a Psy Ops to confuse the Chi Coms. Gotta keep em guessing and stressing. Just sayin. Who says Xiden is gonna be around long enough to do anything.
I've never been in the military, but WW2 the agreed upon strategy was to isolate some islands instead of spending lives and resoueces on them. Failing that couldn't we just drop a really big bomb on them? .
Oh I am sure these islands will be be bombed. Then the Marines come in to secure the island and setup air/sea defense fortifications to disrupt China's ability to move assets.
It just doesn't seem necessary or smart. Why attack where they expect you to attack? Then it just becomes a meat grinder as it changes hands? With satellites, stand off weapons etc. we could make these islands counter productive for the CCP to occupy? And without putting many US or allied lives at risk. Just seems like a poor risk reward ratio, unless you just want a perpetual conflict for ....reasons.
It most likely would be only islands that have a significant strategic position that we would need to disrupt China's movements. China has a sizable sub fleet, these islands could prove essential in countering these sub movements to protect our naval assets.

It's strange that we advertise military capabilities and plans for the entire world to see.
no its not. The goal of this war is to destroy americas military and all its fighting age men.
Biden is going to be telling them everything so they kill all our troops.
Then they get to take over.
War with chyna is part of Bidens plan
My thoughts exactly

We have a military already capable of that. This article is b.s. There's something else they're trying to say. Maybe a warning to China?
