For catholics and non catholics, I really suggest checking into the work of John Paul II. He,along with Benedict XVI when he was a cardinal, were always staunch fighters against communism. And John Paul was a geopolitical genius, flexed whichever remaining political muscles the catholic church had left in the 80's and 90's to face the Big Money and the USSR.
