We don't trust the authorities. I've never trusted authorities very much, but now I am extremely wary of anything any "authority" says. I triple check it with completely independent sources (which aren't always obvious) before I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Even then I remain suspicious. That goes for any authority, no matter what they are saying, or which side they appear to be on.
I think it is likely similar for many of us. That is what Q taught us. Q made us wary of authorities by showing that they have been lying to us forever (not all of them, but enough). Without that initial trust where we give up our right to independent investigation and allow them to think for us, the spell never has a chance to take hold.
Its really just a function of whether or not you give up your right to think for yourself and are willing to look beyond their words before believing.
For me, I’m not sure my parents actually taught me not to trust authority figures, but they did impress upon me to think for myself, and to respect honesty and treat people respectfully. I got red-pilled way back when I watched the Kavanaugh hearings. I voted Trump in 2016 because I just had a bad feeling about Hillary, but I knew nothing then. But the way those Senators spoke to Judge Kavanaugh - the accusations, the disrespectful tone (especially Kameltoes - first time I knew of her cuz I’d been living in Canada since 2005) and that clearly lying Blasey-Ford woman!! That’s when I knew something was up. I believed from the beginning that COVID was just too convenient for the Left, but I had no clue just what it all was about til I came here post-2020 election, looking for truth. I am so thankful to have found you frens.
Similar story here. I found Q stuff initially on Reddit CBTS after seeing references to Q in the comments to Conservative Treehouse. Prolly around January 2018. By February after or around John Perry Barlow died I was hooked. My closest friends are definitely MAGA, and they have a passing interest in the Q stuff but aren't really followers.
