How about a mask with nostril snap flaps?

Simply unsnap each side, take a breath, resnap closed, then unsnap again, and exhale. Finally you can breathe with some peace of mind.

You can buy masks with a one-way valve. It doesn't take much modification to make it two-way! <grin>
