I used to eat at my local lunch spot a few days a week. When Newsom mandated restaurants to close indoor dining for the second time (in December) I talked them into taking the risk and staying open. It has paid off great for them. As word spread they started getting more business. Since then I eat there seven days a week (not kidding) and spend about $500 a month there, eat inside, never wear a mask, and some of the other lunchtime regulars have started to ditch the mask as well.
Yesterday our county (Orange County, CA) introduced legislation for a vaccine passport and I think it will go down in flames. I don't want the passport system, but to be honest I do like the idea that every business has to chose a side; to either require the passport, or not to, because then I'll know which businesses to support, and which will never get a dime from me.
