That isn't true, Gab has their own servers. It is likely they are just using a a CDN with Gates as when the Twitter purge happened they were being innundated and I started noting the cloud hosting thing acting as a barrier to stop a lot of the attacks they were getting

It was a pain in the ass. Doesn't seem an issue anymore.
