I learned russian because if all the "muh Russia" hype. Want to know what I've discovered? Russia is ideologically, in the way that people think about themselves and their country, closer to the US than just about every other country in the world. There is a very Wild-West strain in the young russians today, and they live for adventure and are extremely aware of opportunities to build their own businesses and empires. Blew my mind.
