I have blood tests every 3 months which includes my Vit D. My amount of 1000 units works for me, but individual needs are of course different. 5k -9k units sound very high compared to others I have talked to, but if your blood tests demand that intake to stay within normal parameters, then you take that recommended intake. I wouldn't recommend those high dosages to others without checking with their medical professionals.
Around 8 years ago my Dr. had me add 5,000 D3 daily and it solved the issue.
HOWEVER, the esteemed Dr. Fauci has said he takes around 8,000 or 9,000 in the winter. Might be the only honest thing he's ever said. So I upped my dose and added Zinc.
Wonder why he didn't push Vitamin D during all those press conferences last year?
