a friend I used to work with and still talk to quite often, has a 3 year old daughter that he has not been able to see, but 1 time in the last year. His girlfriend's family has not left their house - they get groceries and animal feed delivered.

He had to take 2 weeks off work right before christmas so he could self-quarantine. He was not "allowed" to be around anyone else... just so he could see his daughter for Christmas.... it was insane. He was living there and had to move out and get his own place and now he can't see his daughter. He is still with girlfriend, but I guess they just talk on the phone.

I always ask him if that family realizes other people are touching their food & deliveries, their mail, etc. I just can't believe how crazy some people have gotten over the media's narrative. It would be one thing if it had a 30-50% fatality rate, but this is basically the flu...
