Labs had no standard number of cycles to use. The PCR inventor said it was not suitable for test purposes! What would he know, he only got the Nobel Prize for it!
On Inauguration Day, the WHO issued a directive not to use too many cycles. So, labs cut back and the number of cases dropped.
