I am so glad you found your way out of that cult! I became a Christian as a young adult and my motto is “No Creed But Christ, No Book but the Bible”. It’s been 20 years and has never done me wrong.

It’s how it should be, we should be able to believe and rely on a perfect God without letting imperfect humans control us... please further it, and help people understand the difference between a worldly god that humans have created and the actual God that created us and gave us this wonderful mind to think with and body to move with!
