Was just watching Skyfall while working out this morning, and Bond meets his new Quartermaster. Quartermaster is the guy who he gives him his intel in the field and details on the mission. When he meets him he calls him Q.

Yes I agree it’s an old term. Was just curious if we ever overthought more than Q supplying us with our ‘gadgets’ / drops. Eh who knows.
Quartermaster; Q Clearance; Quantum computing etc.
Multiple meanings exist!
“Better right than nice.”
If Quartermaster gives his intel to James Bond and Q is giving his information to me then I am James Bond. Call me Bond, James Bond.
In this sense, yes, Q is out QM, but only for Intel.
Was that the one with the new soyboy cuck Q?
They also had: K (named for Colonel Vernon Kell, Home Section- MI5) and C (named for Commander Mansfield Cumming, Foreign Section- MI6), and I'm sure others too.
Is Q handing out radios and PPKs now, like in the movie?
Q has always been a James Bond character. Back in the day the role was filled by a British actor by the name of Llewellyn.
