Local school district tried the vaccine segregation route. Did not go well for them.
? These people are stupid!
They sent a message saying teachers and students who are vaccinated could de-mask. All hell broke loose with teachers and parents today. Now masks are optional and not required at all for any reason. Don't let the liberal hive mind run your schools! You can save the children! We are the majority!
I used to send my son to school with a neck gaiter, which he only had to wear in the hallway, but something in me just quit sending that altogether. I told him to tell them I don't want him wearing one. They don't even mess with it, I think. The principal even wears his on his chin. Ridiculousness!!!!
In my province in Canada they banned neck gaiters in school because kids "could pull them down too easily."
I'm surprised they didn't here. I hate seeing kids with masks on.
Me too. My kids will still wear them sometimes (only at school though), they said because they don’t want to cause a scene. Teenagers really want to fit in, it’s uncomfortable going against the flow.
I always ask them anyway, “Why are you wearing a mask, take that thing off, it’s unsanitary.” ?
As a teenager, I never cared about fitting in. My parents raised me and my siblings to be independent with strong identities. We dealt with bullies swiftly and severely - even if it meant a trip to the principal's office. My parents demonstrated for us by how they conducted themselves. They did not back down from misguided authority when the cause was just. They fought for causes even though at times they stood alone. We always had their support after they heard what happened because we were taught never to start confrontation. But, we never shrank from it when it came our way. We stood our ground and were taught that sometimes being right means sometimes going against the flow even though it may not be the popular thing to do.
Social media has created an atmosphere for our youth that their self worth and identity is defined by others more so than any other preceding generation. Our children need to know that their identity is not defined by others and that they need to like who they see staring back at them in the mirror - even if they run the risk of not being liked by others. That can only come from within. I always tell mine that those people that are trying to judge you today will be just a memory to you in the future and that you are not going to even remember their names much less care about what they thought.
I was the same way, I don’t back down and have a big mouth when I’m pissed about something. My mom was a non confrontational person & it took a bit to get her mad, but when she was pissed you knew it, lol. But my stepdad didn’t take shit from no one, period. So might be where I got it from even though he isn’t my biological dad. I’m stubborn. I always told my kids not to back down from a fight if someone laid their hands on them first, don’t start it but finish it, and don’t take crap from anyone. None of my kids were bullies nor were they bullied.
Two are girls and are pretty quiet and easily embarrassed. My son, he’s polite yet firm with people, he said he only wears it in the hall. I dunno, kids are weird. I wish they’d never wear one, I hate those things.
I love to tell kids they don't have to wear the diaper. Some are just not willing to break the rules. My kid though, I'm proud of what kind of ultra patriot I have created. He bleeds red white and blue now days and has a posse of other patriots at school. It's pretty amazing.
Oh yes. That’s a hard no for me too.
I told them that masks should be reserved for inmates that won't stop spitting. It's child abuse.
Where I am, all stores must refuse entry to anyone not wearing a mask. All stores must ask every individual a series of questions for symptoms. They're required to serve you outdoors if you can not wear a mask, but Canadian Healthcare laws are much less private, being State-run and all.
It's fines for any store not doing the above. So if I'm in a store, it's a gaiter.
I get back at them by picking up the 'dirty' baskets from the checkout.
All I've ever worn, when bullied into it, is my fishing neck gaiter. It's standard gear out fishing the reef to keep your face from frying in the sun. Often my MO was to wear it into the store, then immediately pull it down. They make easy easier to breathe too.
They can't pull a mask down too easily? Mine just falls off my face every time I talk.
You gotta understand, in USA there are sources. In Canada, there's 1 source. State-run media, CBC.
CBC has always danced to the government tune but since Harper has had their funding cut and was delivered an ultimatum - we don't pay you if you don't say what we want.
Scientists have not been allowed to speak in Canada for over a decade unless they toe the Party line.
In Canada, most people still believe that it's about spit droplet transmission so they dutifully wear their mask.
But yes, to everything you said.
At Starbucks with a friend, crap blu mask barely to the mouth. Asian lady behind counter raising a fuss "pull up...cover nose"...I'm mumble some unintelligible garble... "cover nose" ...more gibberish..."pull up mask...cover nose" ... I start to mumble again but instead take the mask off and say " I can't hear what you are saying...take off mask". At that point she took her mask off and started explaining the rules. I interrupted to say "you have a very pretty face". She smiled, gave me my coffee, and flitted around a bit. Save the servers!
You’re a sweet person, our natural tendencies are to get angry, but you really disarmed her with your kindness.
It's like people forgot what human emotions are involved with facial signals. They get so disarmed by a smile, always. Save the servers
Awwwwe!
Love this! A genuine smile always wins!
My district votied to abolish masks after end of year (this month). There is hope, frens. These tyrants are slowly caving, I hope.
Liberals teachers should be charged with child abuse for teaching their retarded views to any school aged child.
They don't know enough to know it's a major problem. They see it as a inconvenience not torture.
I'm a nurse at a school district and today the school began discussing this same thing. Plus, they are taking away covid associated sick leave, and quarantines will be unpaid if you don't get the jab. I had to up and walk out and take a lunch. I am PISSED. So not only will I continue to have to wear this damn thing (third sinus infection), but if they quarantine me I won't get paid.
Hang in there. You’re doing the right thing. We need more good school nurses, not less.
Stay in it, they won't fire you. To them, you are the authority on masks. Don't wear it and see what happens when you stand up. The world is with you. WWG1WGA
Stop complying.
The issue is, I'm essentially brand new and my contract is up for renewal. I don't wear one anywhere else. I just feel like I'm going to get the boot if I stir a turd before my feet are fully planted.
Colloidal silver
You know what I wonder...
If this takeover attempt comes to an end somehow, will people remember that virtually every "expert" in every field turned out to either be corrupt or a fucking moron?
Our education system is designed to produce dangerous turds with degrees.
I work in a school. This story is truly heart warming. Thank you for sharing.
I wish more of us (the majority) would start acting like it. Maybe these stories can serve as reminders that we ARE the majority!
I got that email from my kids’ school today!
Ya I had been pretty confrontational about it recently and in doing so found out others were also becoming more agitated. Now to get CNN10 off the TV!
I heard there are some parents in my neighborhood that are rallying against that too.
Stand with them, you are more powerful than you know.
Where was this?
