Farmer here. Not approached by that myself, but will keep ears/eyes open. Farmers have been getting the shaft for decades now, making it barely profitable enough to keep producing. Wouldn't take much at all for a major shift..
Up a little, usual increase. As crop price/bu goes up, so will seed and insurance. Crazy rain here in SW Missouri, not much getting planted, some neighbors have crop losses already.
If you don't and your neighbor does, and cross pollination means you are ending up with patented genomics, Monsanto can and has sued for use of IP without a license. It's amazing.
Stuck buying what's available..
I've been working in insurance for the last 4 years. We cover a lot of farmers since we're absolutely surrounded by farm land. It's been a trend for decades now that farmers actually pray for their crops to fail. Why? Because the insurance companies pay out more to them to cover their failed or damaged crops than if they were to harvest the crops and sell them. Corn and soybeans are the #1 crops here. They pay bottom-of-the-barrel per bushel for both of those. They're almost worthless with how little the farmers get in return for them. But if the crops fail or are damaged by water, hail, or wind, they get about 10-20% more payout, which gets into the tens of thousands, if not more, depending on acreage.
If the farmers are being told and paid to fail their crops, they WILL do it. Running a farm is SO expensive, and most farmers are in debt because of buying or fixing machinery. They want to get out of debt no matter what, and they'll do anything to get out.
It’s also related to our shitty foreign deals over trade. There should never be a trade deal that ends up encouraging Americans to produce less so we buy more bullshit or don’t export products that step on chinas toes
I found the program that is being talked about described here: https://thecounter.org/biden-administration-farmers-conservation-reserve-crp-usda-vilsack/
The twatter clip is here also: https://halturnerradioshow.com/index.php/en/news-page/news-nation/government-trying-to-create-food-shortage-paying-farmers-to-destroy-crops-threatening-no-farm-subsidies-if-they-refuse
Your post piqued my interest because of a recent article about Bill Gates buying up farmland https://www.farmlandriches.com/bill-gates-farmland/
Attacking white farmers was what Corey Booker was proposing in congress. Because racisms. Maybe this is part of it.

Identical to zimbabwe? Look at what happened there.
America is literally turning into South Africa.
Just look at what's happening there to get a glimpse of our future.
Agreed, Rhodesia is a better example to use.
Crp has been around for years unbunch ur panties
crap. I forgot about that one. Depressing. Maybe I forgot on purpose. I hate what's happening/happened to this country.
I don't think any of this is fun but I'm part of that group with very few liabilities affecting us so far. I was 100% virtual before Branch Covidians took over the country.
Perfect reason for bill gates to start using all that land he acquired over the past couple years, right?
GRAPES OF WRATH
Isn't that one of the main points for the Great Reset was a reset on farming?
Also Agenda 21 is based on the idea that farms are destroying the planet and all farmers needs to be forcibly relocated into cities (with what housing?), but then who runs the farms (gulags)?
Well it has been a common practive for decades whereby the USDA pays farmers NOT to plant certain commodities. But the subsidies being linked to destroying existing crops would be new. The first policy helps balance supply and demand to stabilize the price. This new version seems, as stated, to cause a food shortage or it could be option "B" where they are trying to control the market prices in real time. But to do so (if it is option B) will cause a scarcity thus inflating the value and price. Sort of like in the movie "Trading Places."
But I suspect it is indeed to create yet another crisis so we all beg them for help and a solution. Remember the worn-out of model of problem-reaction-solution? Seems they want our reaction to be from our knees.
In 8 months, they don't expect there will be enough people left to need it anyways.
There is no lumber shortage, there is no microchip shortage, and there is no steel shortage.
There are HOWEVER dozens of ships waiting outside of international ports. Something is fucking wrong here. These ships exist everywhere...so it's some sort of federal thing keeping the ships from coming in in a timely manner.
I think these fuckers were using coronavirus to slow things down to a crawl, and now that the CDC has changed guidance entirely - it's obvious they are doing it just to fuck us.
They do this in Colombia. Was there, farmers regularly have to burn their produce to keep prices artificially high. But they don't get paid. The military comes and burns it and that's that.
[they] are doing everything in [their] power to succeed.
Fuck big ag anyways. Their times of raping our land with monoculture should come to an end anyhow.
