Yup. If I were to build a new house at this point, it would be stone, brick and concrete blocks. Very little if any wood at all...

Thankfully, here in Greece, houses are built from poured concrete reinforced with rebar, or from hand-cut stone and cement. (My house has a wood staircase but it was built some decades ago.)
