Dumb question: how do I get an icon next to my username?

I see some users here having an icon/flair next to their username. How do I get one/apply to get one?

Sorry if the answer is somewhere I didn't look.

Could be closer to 10,000 points, I think. One shows next to my username and I don't have that many points.
