I believe he had Hodgkin's Lymphoma which has about a 5 year survival rate of 80% - pretty high for a cancer. I still maintain my theory as there are a lot of stories of pols getting the big C and miraculously surviving. Then there are the elites (Carter, RBG, etc.) who miraculously survive late stage pancreatic cancer at advanced ages.
