Thermite from 9/11 was smoking for months later. satellite heat imagery showed this. Who knows.

yes but electricity is powerful and can cause fires in a blink of an eye, also they may still be burning do to the fact if they flood with water more victims that are possibly still alive may get drowned ?

Coal and tire fires can burn for years underground. It must be possible with a very small amount of air, just a crack in the rubble or the building slab.
An early report mentioned tunnels, this says 'very deep'. Could be un under block system, could be something else. Either way, it would provide an air source (also another entry point one would assume).
You'd think they'd try that way in after several days.

I'm sorry but screenshots are getting more and more suspect these days. Especially with that social nav bar crashing into the text below. Not saying it's impossible by any means but we're in an information war and seem to be low on discernment.
Could sink holes be a reason for this buildings collapse? Besides the building being taken down on purpose I can't think of a reason it would fall. I don't think it would be sinkhole related because it seems like many other buildings would be falling and that just isn't the case. It is Florida though so...houses fall in sink holes. Also, it is really strange that 150 people are still missing but it is probably likely they are in the rubble. Prayers to those involved. It is a really sad situation.
Some parts of Florida have limestone that is over a thousand feet thick. Other parts are limestone as well, but are hollowed out due underground rivers and the like. These underground rivers are what cause sinkholes.
This condo was pretty much right on the coast. If it's anything like the Keys there, the ground is solid. The Keys are actually the remnants of an old coral reef ... I don't know if that extended up to what is modern day Miami though. I suspect it is (making a sinkhole unlikely), but I don't know for sure.
Yeah, I agree. I think a sinkhole is unlikely. I was just throwing it an idea but the more I thought about it the more it was rubbish.

Sink holes are a byproduct of the failure event. This is why they always put a water feature memorial in its original footprint.

The people are missing for the same reason they jumped from the towers on 911. The Jumpers had no clue that the building was going to fail. They were not surrounded by flames nor was smoke coming out of the windows. What could have been so bad that jumping to your death is a better option? Where is the rubble and why is it still smoking? They can’t find the people because they have “disappeared” like most of the rubble. I bet they build a memorial wishing pond in the exact footprint of the building. Why?
