Are there federal or state vaccine databases?

Everyone gets a CDC vax card after being vaccinated but most are hand written and have little identifying info other than patient name and DOB. Is there a central database that can confirm the legitimacy of a CDC vax card?

It’s in the VAMS system allegedly..but I doubt a lot of healthcare providers were actually reporting to it
