Anything the government touches becomes mediocre. The laws of the common denominator. Exceptionalism is found at the upper region of the bell curve.

It’s not the governments duty to dictate the solution, but to enable the environment for where exceptionalism can thrive

Individual responsibility is equally as important. You can lead a water to trough but you can’t force it to drink.

It's government's job to "flatten those curves." I am of above average intelligence, have a strong work ethic, not ugly, am a genuinely nice person, have decent sense of humor, am more humble than anyone I know, and I have had a hell of a hard life up to this point. I can't blame all my problems on the government, but I have definitely been encumbered by intrusive regulations and punitive bureaucracy.
