The Twin Towers were iconic buildings, showing them damaged/destroyed is an easy way to show a dystopia. Same with the Statue of LIberty. Its been destroyed in so many things but in reality its still standing, right?

I see Lady Liberty quite frequently when I go down to Jersey. You can see it very close from the bank of the Hudson at Liberty State Park.
