My college recently decided that non vaccinated students would have to go into a 7 day quarantine when they arrive on campus. My dad has been pushing for me to get vaccinated for months, but I’m 18 and my mom has been on my side this whole time so he has basically been all bluster. However, now he’s gone full tilt into rage mode that I won’t do what he thinks is “best for the family.” He has moved all of my stuff from around the house into my bedroom and is telling me that “I wanted to give you the choice but you are getting vaccinated by Friday.” I’m holding firm but I just wanted to share another story about how these deranged psychos will tear everything apart for their narrative.

I get your passion, but it is wrong to tell people to lie, especially to their parents. There's other remedies to solve this. The kid can move out or educate 'dad' on the unprecedented dangers of this 2nd phase bio-weapon.
Maybe he cant afford moving out. Maybe his dad cant be convinced.
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for” Matthew 6:25-34
You missed the entire point.
I happened across this yesterday. In 1 kings 17 God uses Ravens to bring Elijah food. “The ravens brought him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he drank from the brook.” 1 Kings 17:6
When the brook dried up God due to the drought God was punishing the location with, God instructed Elijah into alternative provisions listed in the chapter.
“And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?” God provides for us just like he provides for the birds and flowers. He knows our needs are different than birds and flowers, He made us after all. He is fully capable of sustaining us. Mana from the sky, water from a rock. All we really need is Him. “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:33
Enough with that bullshit. This second half of the bio-warfare is fucking killing people indiscriminately. "Wrong to lie to people," who the fuck cares? Maybe the scare event everybody needs will be a billion people finding out they've been poisoned by the pharmaceutical companies and will die soon.
If you were 18, would you gladly let your father physically drag you to get an experimental injection which may or may not cause your heart to become inflamed, or paralyze you, or kill you?
According to you it is appropriate for a son to lie to their father. Many of us weren't brought up that way.
Believe me on this, between a son and his father, there may be plenty of disagreements, but lying never remedies anyone of them. There is no need to lie. The son has options. There are always options, especially in a family. He can and should continue to refuse his father's edict. He has an ally in his mother for one.
The father has lost his grasp on reality. Lying would be the kindest thing.
sounds like his father removed all options but two - leave or get vaccinated
He has an ally in mom. If the son is evicted, which I don't think will be the case, mom will make life hell for dad. Dad will soon know this if he hasn't figured it out yet. Believe me, the queen of the house has far more sway than being considered here. Dad is wrong here. The son has this Right, Even if the eviction occurred, there are plenty of remedies other than the despicable acceptance to lie to your father. It's just plain wrong, especially when there are many, many other remedies.
When did lying ever start to be condoned to family members in the American mindset? There simply is NEVER any reason to lie to loved ones. Silence is an option too. One does not have to give a response.
Jr. Has an ally in mom. Both can even urge dad to go see a counselor, maybe even a marriage counselor. Mom can request what the going rate for child support is and alimony. And yes, child support is often included until college is completed. Believe me, when mom and Jr. lay these cards out, dad will change his tune.
There are only 'two' examples of many options. Lying is an act of desperation when the belief is that there are no other options. I'm suggesting there are plenty of options. I provide one example. There are many, many more. To lie is to teach it is the only option. What kind of world is that. It kind of looks more and more like its part of the new normal, no?
Thou shalt not lie. One's silence as a response is an option not to lie. One of many, many options not to lie. I am beginning to understand why American society is failing. The LIE has become the preferred method for social discourse. There is no need to lie. There are plenty of other options.
he never said to lie to his parents just to get a fake card, what difference does it make to tell them you got a fake card?
My advice is to always be straight with your dad, even if in total disagreement. The son has no need to lie or deceive his dad. There are options, plenty of options. For one, he has a powerful ally in his mother.
No like, be straight with your dad and say I Will Present This Fake Card To Anyone Who Asks, Dad. However elsewhere in the thread he says he did this and his dad wrote "FRAUD" on it
This would be a criminal offense. Now, you are condoning criminality, when there are so many other better options.
A fake card is considered by law enforcement to be 'fraud'; a criminal act. It appears this relates to college policy. A criminal act is a dead end and will get received as denial to the college and to other colleges as well. The truth is the light. Lying is a web that ensnares all that foolishly use it. Lying is a desperate act when there is belief that no other options exist. The reason for a lie itself is a lie. There are ALWAYS other options.
They can't prove shit because they can't even verify the card without violating HIPAA. As long as you use a bogus signature there is nothing they can do.
You can continue to believe this, but first why don't you check out the law(s) in your State against committing fraud. All that needs to occur is for some one to challenge the fraud and deception. If one can't provide the evidence, the entity will judge that individual as not being forth coming and will fire that person for it. They have that right. If one wants challenge them in court, that individual will have an impossible task after discovery is motioned. Then it can easily become a criminal case for committing fraud. This is not the way anyone should challenge this. In fact, this is the worst possible way to getting around 'something' that is already an abuse of power. Using fraud only empowers them. Instead, there are a myriad of different ways to find remedy.
