Most likely.
Some hints:
Some 2,800 fossils were found near Kunming, China--with half of them juveniles
Half of them juveniles?
So... kids.
Now read this article and compare to the one that came out July 5th. eight days later China finds:

I suspect it was a comm that was giving a heads up to people who read comms that a bunch of missing kids were about to be found.
2800 fossils "found".
8 days later 2600 kids "found".
Pretty close. Sounds like a comm for the reveal of the missing kids.
Another option is this:
17 species at the Haiyan Lagerstätte are new to science, the researchers say
From another source:
‘Lagerstätte’ in German originally means a part of the Earth rich in mining metal ore, and was a word usually used by miners. Seilacher coopted that word for paleontology to mean a part of the Earth with a rich and extremely well-conserved deposits of fossils.
It's an old world for a site rich in mining metals that just "happened" to be used for fossils deposits. Hm...
Darn, this is a good one and I have to leave soon to go somewhere. I'll add a quick one here:
"Running between 541 million and 485 million years ago..."
4+8+5 = 17
Wow!! Great info!!
