Be the light in the darkness. During full-blown masktard time I would go to Wal-Mart and walk around without a mask, walk out without buying anything at least 3 times a week. EVERY time at least 1 person would take it off. Be the example, others will follow.
Give it some time. Just proudly hold your head up, smile and be pleasant (even to maskers), it is contagious. I overhear people expressing how good it is to see faces again every day. Some will never give it up for their own reasons and I am ok with that. Good luck over there across the pond!
It takes time for the mask burning. Our mask mandates were over around mid May and the percentage of people wearing them has been on a steady decline. Only a scattered few wear them now (unless you are in an airport)
It took a while here too and I live in the deep red south of the US. I hadn’t worn one really ever, except for chin diapering when I absolutely had to, and continued not wearing one. I was alone for a looonnnngggg time. Eventually others took theirs off and now the mask wearers are in the minority, finally. It might take a few months honestly, or longer. Give it time and smile happily to everyone!!
They lifted the mask mandate here in Alberta at the start of June. Over the last two weeks I’ve seen it go from 85% voluntarily wearing them down to about 20%. Get out there and normalize not wearing one, and others will get on board.
I live smack in the middle of the USA, people are pretty much over all of the mask retardation but the ones wearing them are elderly or minorities. Or people who are noticeably liberal.
saw two people wearing masks on Saturday at Lowe's. Was there for about an hour. two months ago there were times that I was the only one without a mask. it was so nice to see.
It takes a couple weeks but youll see less and less masks in the next bit. It started out the same here but slowly ive been seeing more and more people without masks on.
What really annoyed me was seeing my mother with a mask on after we went shoppong together and she didnt have one. Some people are just very easily influnced by others..
I just got back from a late run to Tesco. I would say 90% of the people were maskless, a few middle aged men with bitch tits were wearing them and the majority of staff had them on below their nose.
I’m in the south if that makes any difference, not liberal Brighton, or London though.
That's funny because i am here in Liverpool and didn't see anyone wearing a mask in the M&S i went to today. There was a fuckwit walking around outside with one on but that was the only person i saw
Oh excuse the hell out me I'm sure. I lived in Ellesmere Port for years and I have rarely seen such a tough-minded crew of people who I am not at all surprised are resistant to any kind of bullshit authority.
Take a trip down here to SE Poshland if you want to see the entire opposite a bunch of bedwetting sheep who will still be wearing masks in their coffins I don't doubt.
It took my wife about 2 months to just take the fucking mask off despite being on my side as far as not getting the bullshit covid vax, because she was afraid of getting 'outed.' It took our store manager not being vaxxed and never wearing a mask for her to finally just say "fuck it, no more" despite me telling her every day just to take the god-forsaken thing off.
It was a bit better in our city in the midlands. there were considerably more people without masks on on the school run.
I went to the pharmacy today and overheard the masked cashier telling a masked lady that the cashier was going to keep her mask on because she was "used to it" and to protect her 79 year old mother. I was sorely tempted to interject by saying that:
Her mother would be just fine as long as she hasn't taken the vax.
The masks make no difference.
If you surrender freedom for safety, you get neither.
I know that if the cashier had survived being in a pharmacy without learning anything then I was going to have very little traction so I just smiled at them (without a mask on of course) and tried to forgive them for so easily giving away my freedom and safety.

This ^ 100%
That last line is plain great life advice too. Be the person you would follow!

we went through something similar here too a few months ago. it takes time and now i barely see anyone wearing a mask.
It’s gonna take a few days for people to feel comfortable without them. Old habits die hard. They will come around.

I saw people without mask whilst shopping in one store today. Not great, but it's better than the usual zero or one.
8 people
Can confirm: went Sainsbury's at around 10am this morning.
Sheep still sheeping. All muzzled up.
Fuck my life. This will never end will it...
They've just annoinced kids to be vaccinated there.

We are surrounded by fucking idiots... As far as the eye can see.
I burned my masks in my driveway,on freedom day.
It's now the Screensaver on my tablet.

Liverpool has gumption.
Scallies don't GAF. Nobody surprised!
nice bit of stereotyping there. It was fucking Marks & Spencer's you dumb cunt

Tfw when I still don't wear a mask even though it's illegal whilst people in other countries do it due to social pressure.

But passports are....fair exchange? Hardly what anyone should call "freedom" day.
