IU really is insane. My husband and I have some connections to academia and have lived in a lot of college towns and spent a lot of time in various campuses. Never have we encountered a situation as unhinged as IU.
We spent a few days there and the professors seem to be in an all out war with both the townies and the students. One professor told us (thinking we were in-group) that the students show up as "Trump supporters" from "ignorant families" that it's the job of the professors to "fix that." They also treat the townies like subhumans or serfs. My husband and I both saw professors yell at waiters and bus drivers. It's really a crazy situation. Professors at other land grant institutions aren't that unhinged and neither are the prestigious East Coast schools. It's some sort of special IU bubble of cra cra.
Agreed, which is why John Jacob and Curt Nissley are fighting the mandates both at IU and IU Health. We the people of IN need to refuse the illegal mandates. Don't go back to IU, don't go to their hospitals or physicians--put them all out of business.
we the unvaxxed should start using our power - all we have to do is go occupy these campus buildings and do a sit-in. literally go and occupy the buildings as unvaxxed peepl. not sure what happens next but we demand equal rights like the blacks used to do.
I like how asymptomatic spread became a badge of honor as an effect of the vaccine; but asymptomatic spread amongst non-vaccinated individuals is somehow a problem. That despite much solid evidence existing that asymptomatic spread in the first place is not a major contributing driving force behind a pandemic -- especially COVID.
"Generally, young unvaccinated people are less likely to have severe outcomes from Covid-19 than old unvaccinated people, but they still can get seriously ill and spread the virus to other people."
In other news, according to actual current known science demonstrated by real world outcomes:
Fully vaccinated individuals can still catch COVID and spread COVID to others even after receiving both doses, making this statement from CNN akin to tail-eating Clown World tabloid media.
DON’T ATTEND THIS COLLEGE. Problem fixed.
I went to IU. Live in Indiana.
You don’t understand how much sway IU has on the state.
If we allow this to go through employee mandated vaccinations are next.
A lot of colleges on the East Coast are mandating both their students and employees to get the vax.
I doubt they have as much pull over the entire state as IU does over the state of Indiana.
Regardless you should be contacting your judges too.
I left this judge a voicemail & told him he can Leichty my balls.

Time now for these students to take a stand and say hell no.
