Clot busting drugs do exist. As a stopgap measure until he can get medical attention, try powdered aspirin in as large a dose as he can stand... it's a blood thinner as well as an effective analgesic.
Baby aspirin is usually the protocol because too much aspirin can cause internal bleeding.
Baby aspirin is for maintenance, TNBM is talking about a rescue dose.
The human adult body can tolerate quite a high dose of aspirin, much more than comes in a single envelope of commercial products. I wouldn't recommend that for daily use, but it seems like this person is facing a medical crisis and needs to do something NOW until he can get professional treatment.
Good advice. I would drink lots of high proof alcohol too to help thin blood.
