Spent very little time in Japan, but, was stationed at Osan AB ROK. Summer was hot and humid. Winter was cold and damp. No surprises that Japan has similar weather.
These people are stupid. Anyone can look at historical weather charts or ask any Japanese what summer is like. Summer in Japan is brutal. You only have to go outside for 10 minutes doing some activity and you're sweating buckets. Now there's a tropical storm coming and the humidity will be off the scale.
Japan originally wanted to hold the games in September but there were complaints from advertisers saying it would clash with America's sporting calender, or some such. Not that anybody is watching sports anymore.
In fact, in my area of the Deep South, we’ve had cooler than normal temps. Wore a light jacket for 4th of July fireworks. That’s unheard of! So can’t blame the heat here.
Can reporters get any dumber?
The country of Japan lied about it's weather?
Everybody can get the weather info on any country any time in seconds.
I don't think this anything to do with vaccination though.
“The jerks, they lied (gave their opinion) about public easy to obtain information!”
Summer is crazy hot, sticky and humid. Couldn’t believe the Olympics were being held there. 5 summers in Japan were torture.

Fleas jump.
85 Degrees and a mere 67% humidity? I'll trade you.
We were at 75% humidity at midnight yesterday! I'm in NC for reference.
I live in a terrarium...at least that's what it seems like in the summer.
This is a pattern - Canada, UK and US all had excessive "heatwave" deaths this year.
It wasn't any hotter than usual. It's interesting, because usually cold weather is a problem for vascular issues.
