My dad uses that term a LOT : conspiracy theory.
I have to remind him the actual definition and difference between a conspiracy and a conspiracy theory. SO many idiots think a conspiracy is a conspiracy theory, they don't even know what the words mean.
For example : The statement the Moon landings were fake, without proof is a conspiracy.
The proof provided that the moon landing were actually faked - a conspiracy has taken place - is a conspiracy theory.
You can't have a 'theory' with ZERO proof to back up your claim. How these fucking morons can't read a dictionary is beyond me.
Remind him that the term "conspiracy theory" was coined by the CIA đź§
“Conspiracy” is a legal term, and technically any prosecutor trying to prosecute anyone for any conspiracy is a “conspiracy theorist” because they haven’t proved their case in court.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, in my closing arguments id like to remind you all that the over-zealous prosecutor is just another crazy conspiracy theorist!
