"Christ abides in each person as his potential perfection. Jesus Christ, the embodiment of all divine ideas, exists eternally in the Mind of Being as the only begotten Son of God, the "Messiah" or "anointed one," and is the living Principle working in man."

Jesus isn't in everybody. The bible tells us that satan is the god of this world / age. Jesus CAN be in you, as will be the Holy Spirit, if you become a believer. It's easy enough to do, if you can humble yourself. That seems to be the biggest hurdle for a lot of people. "God, I don't even know if You exist, but if You do, I want to know. I want to know the truth. Please reveal Yourself to me." Said in all sincerity and humbleness, that little prayer is all it takes. I invite you to ask Him to reveal Himself to you.
Christians have been saying that for a long time. What if it is a false doctrine. What if Christ (not Jesus) is the creation of God and in all mankind, but dormant in most. Christ not recognized is Christ not birthed and living in the individual, but the potential is there. Jesus actually fully proved Christ in action all the way to ascending to the Father, that is why He is living principle,,,,,,,he is alive now and active in the believer, and knocking at the door of the unbeliever.
Jesus is the Christ. Look, I would have an honest discussion with you about this if I believed you were sincere. You remind me of a lot of people I've known (even been one myself at one time) and the sort of person Paul and others repeatedly, repeatedly warn about. People who like to talk, and philosophize and use fancy language and enjoy hearing themselves speak, but essentially are clueless.
I've been a disciple of Jesus Christ for 40 years.
Sorry, I don't think you are. Now maybe I'm wrong and maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, but you implied that Jesus is/was not the Christ. If that is your take on things, then I would say you are not a disciple of Christ.
