It’s always the answer because they’re delusional enough to think they’ll be the ones in charge. Until the secret Police disappear them during the night that is.
The general trend of Socialist Revolutions is the period of time immediately after the revolution is as violent and bloody as the Revolution was. As individuals in the new Government seek to consolidate power by eliminating their fellow revolutionaries who may pose a threat to their newfound power.
So true. They also think that they will live in this Utopia, where they will all have 3,000 sq foot houses, drive new cars, and spend a life of leisure while the government pays for all. Imagine their shock when they are living in a Soviet style closet, taking public transportation, and standing in bread lines.
That poor, delusional girl. Empower the working class? How about, you work hard, you get ahead? That’s how I grew up. Not some fantasy that a barista job at Starbucks should count the same as a nursing job. Although, coffee could be reset for saving lives. :) Of course Hollywood supports her in the idea of socialism. They’re already rich. Their fortunes will only grow.
The sad reality is we don’t live in a capitalist society. We have a set of oligarchs who were supported, in many ways created, by the politicians young Calla would vote for in the belief they will deliver socialism. But what they are and what they deliver is, in reality, the fascism she decries in her article.
It was these oligarchs whose businesses were allowed to operate during the lockdowns. The entrepreneurs, the small businesses trying to get a start in a system stacked against them, were the ones who were crushed by Covid. Plus they are being driven out by calls for minimum wage levels they can’t begin to pay. And it’s all intentional.
The promise of socialism is a classic bait and switch. A promise of utopia and the delivery of a dysfunctional economic system. Why? Because it is a parasitic concept. Marx proposed the time for Socialism to be enacted was after the capitalists had built out the economy.
Even a 17 year old should be able to see that living off the fruits of someone else’s labors cannot last.
This is why the Socialist economic system was just a pit stop on the road to Communism. After Communism is Anarchy. People always forget the progression. It was a theory of economic evolution. We stalled the evolution by shooting a blended economic system. The US is a blend of Capitalism & Socialism. Some would argue a touch of Communism as well, but that isn't as clearly obvious as the other two. Any pure economic system reveals its flaws fairly quickly. The key is learn what works and what doesn't. Shed the bad policy and keep the good. Our flaws are in the political system. These have corrupted the economic system. Both can be fixed. Remove the problematic politicians, change the system to eliminate lifelong politicians. Limit lobbyists interaction with politicians under monitored and supervised meetings. Strict corruption laws, I could go on for days, sorry.
I agree completely, the problem is not Capitalism, it’s that they’re intentionally using a mutated form of it to try to bring it down and achieve the opposite goal.
Fortunately, none of the audience at which this is aimed can read, thanks to our CRT public school curriculum.
