I've noticed that msm, big pharma, and government hates cigarettes and smokers. Now I've been a smoker for 10+ years. I am in no way telling you to smoke or saying that it's good for you. It's highly addictive and I cough a lot. That being said, why is the deepstate against tobacco? Has anyone ever dug into this?

I did have Covid early in the year. Although I was completely fine after the first day and symptomless after 3. So maybe it helped along with being outside in the sun. Not disputing your comment because everyone in my home had it.
It's performance theater. They don't love it, but they sure do love all the tax money they get from it. My husband and I used to own and operate an e-cigarette business. Their dislike of e-cigarettes was tied to the Master Settlement Agreements
The deep state used to shill the shit

State litigation In the mid 1990s, more than 40 states commenced litigation against the tobacco industry, seeking monetary, equitable, and injunctive relief under various consumer-protection and antitrust laws.[6] The first was declared in May 1994 by Mississippi Attorney General Mike Moore. [My comment a Democrat]
The general theory of these lawsuits was that the cigarettes produced by the tobacco industry contributed to health problems among the population, which in turn resulted in significant costs to the states' public health systems. As Moore declared, "'[The] lawsuit is premised on a simple notion: you caused the health crisis; you pay for it.'"[7] The states alleged a wide range of deceptive and fraudulent practices by the tobacco companies over decades of sales.[8] Other states soon followed. The state lawsuits sought recovery for Medicaid and other public health expenses incurred in the treatment of smoking-induced illnesses. Importantly, the defenses of personal responsibility that were so effective for the tobacco industry in suits by private individuals were inapplicable to the causes of action alleged by the states.
It started with a lawyer who was able to get money for a state from tobacco tax. I think it started in Maryland. This lawyer later got convicted of some crime. It was so long ago. I am going to try to track it down.
Can't find the info but I now remember that I heard it on Rush Limbaugh's show many years ago. Rush could do some digs. It was a settlement (not taxes).
I've wondered about it as well. They constantly demonize it.
For some reason, eliminating tobacco usage is part of agenda21.. possibly by 2030 milestone i can’t remember. Why is tobacco singled out over other drugs, alcohol etc? That’s the mystery. It’s also mysterious as to why I haven’t had any respiratory viruses (no colds or flu) since I started smoking in 2010.
Disinfo, the whole tobacco shitshow. Bit like covid, where government controls restaurants and hotels. Fear porn round passive smoking turns out to be flawed reporting so that government can control restaurants and hotels. Bit like the Lancet.
I don't see the benefits but who needs logic in the current milieu?
Sometimes I wonder if organic tobacco would be o.k. I hear they put loads of chemicals in the non organic cigarettes.
Well its probably because smoking tobacco gives you diseases. Past the surface level of things they probably dont like it because they arent the ones collecting the money
I would bet that it is a deflection. By the same time, one could argue all the shit government perpetrated onto the people by way of toxic waste and radiation .......
That is never ever taken into account.
I would add though that natural tobacco without all the additives may be a better way to enjoy the plant.
Better taste & a heck of a lot cheaper (1/4 cost) if you shred and ryo.
